Channel Islands’ IT consultancy C5 Alliance has strengthened its team with the appointment of Chris Forbes in a senior role.
Mr Forbes has over 16 years’ experience in the IT industry designing and developing software solutions across a number of business sectors for major blue-chip global organisations. He has a wealth of experience in consulting, requirement gathering, solution architecture, software design & development and has been working with SharePoint since 2003.
Mr Forbes joins C5 as a senior consultant after a 12 year engagement with one of Scotland’s leading Microsoft Gold Partners. Having taken part in a management buyout in early 2007 Mr Forbes became a shareholder and director and he helped grow the company and specifically the software solutions team to become one of the leading SharePoint organisations in Scotland.
Mr Forbes is looking forward to working with the Channel Islands’ business community in his role as a SharePoint consultant. “Joining the experienced and focused team at C5 is an opportunity which I grasped with both hands and I will relish the challenge in building enterprise solutions for new and interesting clients and industry sectors in the islands.”
C5 Alliance’s managing director, Mark Loane, said: “Chris brings with him a vast amount of expertise in SharePoint consultancy which is a great benefit for businesses locally as SharePoint is becoming an increasing important line of business solution for many different types of company.”
At present Mr Forbes is part of a team working on a complete systems refresh for a local trust company which includes the configuration of Microsoft CRM 2011, SharePoint 2010 and server and desktop infrastructure. Next month he will be speaking at SharePoint Saturday UK, a leading developer event in Nottingham, on extending SharePoint solutions onto the Windows 7 mobile phone platform.
